Do You Recognize This?

Here is a question, while search for this smelter pot car (with no success) and since I am not familiar with the Chuggington line at all, is Plarail/Tomy the only one holding the license and are producing the motorized ones.

It looks like it's from the Winnie the Pooh themed train, has it got honey in the crucible?

the most recent pooh train has 2 trucks each with 2 wobbling hunny pots. the other came with open cars and little rubber figures of the 3 main characters plus a hunny pot. is there another i dont know of?

to my knowledge, plarail is the only manufacturer of powered chuggington. everything else seems to be push along.

Actually, Learning Curve once reused the molds from the Interactive range to make motorised versions with push button activation. However, they had four, fixed wheels, and neither voices nor interactivity. They sold them as "Chuggington Motorised", and they were made before the Plarail ones.

Another good thought Tramp, thanks. Unfortunately they don't show a picture of what is inside the crucible, maybe nothing. I am just guessing that its Plarail because of the wheels, the other rolling stock in the listing and its listed on the predominantly Plarail Auctions of Japan.

I wonder if it could be a searchlight?

That is an interesting thought Chrisjo so I went to take a closer look and my mistake, there is a picture that shows that the pot does have some type of material in it. Showing the entire lot in case some came together and because of that more recognizable from where they might be from.

A little further amateur detective results may indicate that this car automatically tips when, what I assume, is a black lever is tripped by something within a large set. Also note the crucible looks to be offset and a portion missing on the levers side to enable it to rotate down and release its load or to emulate it dumping its load.

I think it's the car that came with the Plarail Thomas Works Set released in 2012.

Right you are Jdog, thank you for your help. I had just finished researching this and came back here to post my discovery and you have beat me too it lol, good work. My detective skills proved correct about the crucible tipping but I still don't know whats in it. Maybe Suzukawa describes it but alas its in Japanese.

Nice find, I particularly like how the load 'falls' out of the pot, then pulls back in, it's a nice touch!
