This is the second time that this engineering nightmare has been packaged along with other trains to sell it...
It was designed to be motorized, but some sort of design flaw either in conception or production that produced a product that had no place to deliver power from a battery( it's even fitted w/ the large coupler...
I have taken one apart and it seems that it was just a giant blunder that was salvaged instead of scrapped and repackaged to not take a loss...
It's cool and so is the motorized version, but it still was a mistake.

I opened Rocky last night with my daughter I now see what you mean, Indigo was pretty disappointed that rope does not move on the crane part.
I think even with out the playability they made him look great so Dad (me) was happy since I basically just use him as a piece of rolling stock, my daughter like Percy better haha

Ahh...
My apologies for my neglect of this thread...
Here is one of our favorite sets..
The Back & Go Thomas has a 3 way On forward/Off/Reverse switch and is the only motorized character to ever feature a FRONT coupling...(the Plarail Dodge dummy car that acompanies the Talk 'n Action Diesel 10 is the only other, though it is non-motorized)
It also comes with a wobbly wheeled cargo wagon, Harold and a small non motorized helipad that, although is has no function and serves only as a feature, it is of a quality higher than that of even the normal Plairail product..
This is a great, very versatile set...lots of fun and a true one of a kind!!Smile
