So, no rumors of closings in Australia?

There are rumors but apparently owned by a different company so unaffected.

Well at least that is better news. I wonder if they will still get to keep the name and how much these closings in the rest of the world will affect what they have. I also wonder what the rumors are for the TRU in Japan. I do like their Plarail Exclusives.

RIP TrUSSad

this is much bigger than you think.
if this goes down and trs is gone.

it will affect toy manufacturing to its core

Good news for Canadian residents. There are several toy manufacturers are willing to buy the Canadian Toy R Us Division.

Got this from a post, a person who works at TRU USA.

Quote: >Liquidation will start off at 10-30% off and be increased by 10% every two weeks. (So then it'll be 20-40%, ect.)

>The higher percentage will be exclusive to gift wrap and small ticket items under $10.

>LEGO, American Girl, Tablets, Video Games, Video Game Consoles, literally everything by Nintendo, and Claires WILL BE EXCLUDED from all liquidation sales.

>Hasbro products like Transformers, MLP, Beyblade, and Marvel Legends will cap off at 30% off.

>The final liquidation sales will cap off at 30-50%.

>ALL SALES ARE FINAL!

>No returns or exchanges will be accepted, no exceptions.

>TRU/BRU employee discounts and ALL coupons excluding TRU REWARDS DOLLARS and your TRU/BRU Credit card Thursday Discounts WILL NOT be valid.

>TRU/BRU Gift cards will still work.

>Items will no longer be held for you.

Its going to be a mad house. Imagine if this had all happened before Xmas...they would have to call in the National Guard to keep order.
