I’ve been missing in action from here for a while, and the main reason for that is that I fell out of the plarail loop. However... now I’m back! (For Real) Smile

I recently decided to take out the tomy that I’ve (literally) been sleeping on for the past few months. I realized that I left batteries in them, luckily none of them leaked! As for the trains and track itself, they’re all good! Now I just need to make a good permanent space for them and get more track!

Nice collection so far my friend!

I have got into the habit to never put a train away whether on a shelf, closet, box or storage Bin etc. without taking the battery's out even if I plan to use that train again soon. To many times I had found an engine, like you Pop, that still had battery's in it when I went to run them. And like you had been lucky that they didn't leak. But how close were they to leaking, one never knows. And how many times that even though we say we are going to use that engine again soon, it isn't and we are playing russian roulette with battery acid.

Thanks for the advice Super! I really dodged a bullet with this one, I have had an engine leak on me before (Hit Toys Donald) so I’m glad my mistake didn’t cost me this time! Will keep this in mind when I need to put them in storage.

My routine is to always turn the switch to 'ON' when I put them away. Apart from resolving the accidentally-left-in battery issue, this also stops them rolling off the shelf - it locks the drive wheels.

That is a great idea Chrisjo. I already did the leaving the switches in the On position so the trains wouldn't move around in the storage drawers of the Plarail Train garages but I didn't associate it with s second good reason like you have said, so its for sure that one could not mistakenly leave battery's in. Thanks for the great tip.
