Steam Scene 2019 - AOF04 - 04-13-2019

Today I went to the annual Steam Scene steam extravaganza in Christchurch New Zealand.
They have a steam train that does laps. There are also little steam train rides. And Traction Engines galore!!!!
They had traction engines doing demonstrations like sheep sheering, Rock crushing, Rides on a trailer, a Sawmill and other farming activities.
A few pictures of steam for you all to see.

Looks like a grand time AOC and great weather too. I particlarily love the look of this steam delivery truck. What does something like that use for fuel?

looks awesome, shaun! i love stuff like that, especially traction engines.

Coal.  Otago Daily Times. "Mr Familton said the coal-fired steam truck had three gears, it could travel up to 30kmh, and Dunedin's hilly terrain did not seem to be an issue."

Thanks Dr Chris for the video. Looks like its not much fun riding in the cab as the steam and smoke sometimes gathers there. Wonder where they keep the coal.
