Those toys are so cool! I’ve always had a fascination with tin toys.

The autobahn has the sort of graphics that I think would look great as a Plarail backdrop.

Oh, Wow! That set is so awesome Mr-No, I can see why a young boy would stay up all night playing with it and...you still have it. I just love all the painted graphics. What a great remembrance that it was from Granny. Thank you for sharing and I hope you remember where you put it.

I remember the day (now almost fifty years ago) when my dear Granny bought me this Blechautobahn (I have it to this day, and I don't know where it is at the moment, but I found the same one on YouTube):

This tin set from DDR is really amazing. I'm surprised one of the cars isn't a Trabant!

Well, these were not, but they made Trabbies in all sizes and colours. Mine is a classic - ein himmelblauer Trabant (sky-blue Trabant):

There was even a song about "himmelblauer" Trabby, and a DDR State records company "Amiga" music video: Sonja Schmidt - Ein himmelblauer Trabant

That really is a nice, detailed, model, car what size/scale is it.

Mavis and Salty are working at the Ffarquhar quarries, so for this one I had to make a quarry! Hope you like it! Big Grin

Thanks Mr-No
A little bigger than what I had thought but still a very nice model.

It was great seeing Mavis and Salty in action. It’s not so much the characters as it is the models themselves just make good, basic diesels of the sort you could find almost anywhere in the world.
