- BRIO - actually released a few real-life engines/trains (Mallard and the Flying Scotsman come to mind)
- Virginia Museum of Transportation - released a wooden version of their famous J Class #611 in 2017
- BigJigs - released many real-life trains and engines, particularly their National Heritage Collection, which includes famous British engines such as Mallard, the Flying Scotsman, and the Duchess of Hamilton
