i wonder if theres a way you can open the truck and put some weight above the "gimmick wheels" to help them work on the blue track?

i do applaud fisher-price for doing that, too. something more interesting than it first looked, at least.

I love watching your layout and trains running Uc, thanks for another informative video. I must be honest that it pains me to watch these Trackmaster II engines. The only thing I like about this Streamlined Gordon is the Face. Its great looking. Have you calipered it to see if its the same size as a Plarail Gordon? It would be neat to replace a Plarail face with this one even if it has to be glued. I don't own any of these but after watching your videos I suspect that the reason these Trackmaster II train slip so much even after filing down the activation tab is the loss of traction with the large toothed wheels slipping on the finely grooved Tomy track. Much like it would if the tracks were smooth. Keep the videos coming,

I think I saw some Flying Scotsmans at a local Walmart last week.
, at least I think I did as I don't pay much attention to the Thomas aisle as I once did except to see if by chance there are some pre-Revolution engines still foe sale.

I think the revolution faces are larger than the Trackmaster 1 or Plarail faces, I am not even sure if they are removable...yet hehe

Nice review Ucwepn. Aside from the disappointing wagon and Jet cars, this Thomas is cute and I can see it appealing to the very young fans. I am curious if the helmit will fit on the regular Trackmaster or Tomy Thomas engines. Would be neat if it could or any other of Thomas's Friends.

Is the Rosie mod running in reverse because the battery is turned around ot did you do some motor modifications? That mod is beautiful, its nice to see your mods included in your vids running in the background. Hope to see more of that.

Hi Super, The black Rosie is an older custom but I thought it would look good running backwards in this video, I turned the battery around using the foil trick and I added a wire loop for a front coupler wrapped around the body screw.

Did you happen to try the helmet on any other trains?

Not yet but I will have a look later, I have a feeling it will fit on all trackmaster 2 conventional steam engines as the smokeboxes all look the same to me.

Different and very kewl. Getting rid of those clouds on the sides of the Trackmaster Flying Scotsman for a custom looks to be quite the challenge. Are they stickers or paint?

I must try this. So its the acetone that might melt the plastic?
