Plus I think Takara Tomy has been such a long term licensee of the Thomas brand for 30 years that the licensors seem to be happy enough with what they're doing for the Japanese audience that I see no reason for it not to continue. I wish I had an insight into the business.

Do you know where the images came from?
Pictures of those trains? They’re everywhere (fandoms, youtube, webshops), but they originally had to come from Mattel, right? Smile

I spent a number of (ultimately wasted) hours a few days ago trying to figure out the origins of those photos. They seemed to only appear on YouTube but are not credited, which is frustrating. From there they go to a number of wikis.

I have not seen them displayed by any online retailer.

Surely they must be Mattel pictures, but how are they released to the world at large? It remains a mystery to me.
Well, this is not the first time that photos appear "ahead of time", ie before the company officially publishes them ... By the way, Crystal Mine Thomas and Percy & Bruno are listed in this Turkish web shop:

Thanks Mr. No.

More questions than answers, I feel! How does a store in Turkey get the jump on the rest of the world???  Are the bloggers and Youtubers routinely following that store for leaks to the exclusion of any others???

I don't want to bring this up, the CGI motorized lineup is officially discontinued.
Making Customs, Filming Videos and looking for the purest engines. That's how I roll here on Blue Plastic Tracks.

Thank you Mister No. That's all I was asking for. For wiki purposes, I can't find any traces of their official names and SKUs yet though. What about the Thomas and Cranky set?

From experience, approved businesses are given access to a website which allows them to download images, logos, and other material to add to their own shops and web stores.
