Online Selling Shockers

Reminds me of the old, original days of Ebay where a seller had to pay an additional fee for adding pictures to a Listing. Most Ebay Listings didn't even have pictures, just written descriptions. It was also a time where everyone didn't have a phone/camera in their pocket and the quality of any pictures weren't very good and Ebays program wasn't able to handle HD which I don't think was even a thing back then.

I found this and quickly noticed something unusual ,but I need some confirmation by some people that own a sealed copy of this set

I was thinking that I may buy this at some point, only because I read the shipping wrong

Now to get to the point. I noticed something strange about the red express coach

It's one of the red plastic coaches. The main difference is between the two different versions is the opacity of the red stripe, as it's darker and more transparent.
I was wondering if there was any evidence of the first versions of these set featuring these coaches

I've had a good look around and I don't believe so. You can search for トーマスとにぎやか貨車セット and see for yourself. It was released 17th May 2001.

A full list of sources for the darker red version of the coach would be interesting.  (And don't get sidetracked by the ones with yellow stripes!)

Wait...its made of red plastic??? I seem to remember that of the dozens I have had including the four yellow striped ones I have now were all made of the dark grey plastic seen on the roof and ends with the red and cream colors painted. I would be interested in seeing the inside of that shell.
