So I've gotten a couple comments that the latest DC 9-pack's Shazaam! engine is labelled as Bert on the bottom of the chassis. Can anyone confirm that, especially if you have the original Iron 'Arry Shazaam! from the first DC 9-pack and can show the bottoms of both with different names?

I don't have the pack, but the back of the boxes kinda confirm that. That's pretty cool, actually.

On a less related note, gotta give it up to user yeahright for suggesting making your own custom anniversary Thomas with an extra metallic and classic Thomas. Looks awesome.

Thanks for that, that's helpful. We've seen packaging mistakes before, though, so I also want to see the actual engines before I add a new variant to my checklist Smile It looks like I'll be adding it, though.

The red and yellow plastic on Bert appear lighter to the naked eye, doesn't look as obvious in the picture. The paint on Bert is also lighter/cheaper.

Looks like the minis being announced at Toy Fair have been already released. The 24 DC ones (3x 9-packs and 3x 4-packs) the 4 pack and 9 pack Power Rangers and the only other one so far is the Ninja Turtles 9-pack (not releases yet) looks like no 4 pack to accompany it so far. The only other thing of note is a multi platform playset (Minis, Adventures and Trackmaster) looks like it comes with an exclusive of each brand. Looking like a $99.99 retail price. Ouch...lots to pay to get an exclusive Mini. But could be a really fun playset for the kids.

that set looks interesting. what a shame it wasnt the old trackmaster. could use it at a display stand for various engines.

Saw an eBay listing for Wave 2 in CA. DANG. I feel it takes forever for new releases to head east in US. ::impatiently waiting::
