Thanks! I moved from N Scale because the models were so small, it just didn't feel like they were trains in the same way bigger ones did. The presence just wasn't there, if that makes sense.
And you guessed right! It is a Rapido J70! I'm not quite going to do the Wisbech and Upwell, but more of the ex-Great Eastern Railway part of the LNER, with some nods to W&U traffic. Thanks for the link to the coach kits!
Also, the Clockwork Thomas is actually pretty cheap to find on Ebay, so I picked it up to see what it was like. It's actually really close to the Series 1 model, except for the stretched Smokebox. My plan is to replace it with the Bachmann one (that'll be fun to cut ?). I also might do a Railway Series style dip in the running plate rather than the TVS one it has now.
