finally found... canadian sharknose

after several years of waiting, i have finally acquired a tyco HO scale canadiana sharknose.

there were 4 pieces released under the canadiana banner: two locos, a boxcar and caboose. the boxcar is by far the most common item to find, followed with the C430 loco. i am going to say the caboose and sharknose are equally rare.

theres a story to this loco, before ive even received it! i found it a few days ago, and placed my max bid this morning before going to work, hoping to be home before the listing closed. due to various things, this was not to be, and i was an hour later than i wanted.
the listing had closed, and i had been outbid. however, upon checking my email, i had received a second chance offer from the seller, so grabbed it. all up, with shipping, its cost $101NZD.

this is the sellers photo. my last buy from canada took 3 months to arrive, so expecting an equally long wait.

you can see the other pieces in the first couple of photos on this page

Wow, she really is a beauty and will look so good with your other Canadian cars. Is this very rare? Do you ever take just your HO trains to the clubhouse and run them on some of those layouts.

very rare, super. this is the first one ive seen on ebay since i started getting the new listing emails about 3 years ago.

sometimes i take some HO stuff out, but not as often as i should. some hasnt been run in a number of years. really should make a roster up and take something out each month. its more due to finding track time. we have one running night a month, and most of the other guys also run HO, so we are always scrabbling for space.
of course, having keys, i can go and run stuff whenever i please, which is good.

This is Chatsworth's (from Chuggington) basis, right?

I don't really like the way this livery is done, as it looks unrealistic and it would've looked better if the flag was done horizontally on the sides, ending at the cab.
im not sure on whether its chatsworth or not. i thought his nose was shorter, but could be wrong there. im not good with identifying engine classes.

im not sure whether the livery was based on an actual loco or not, i dont think so as ive never seen one on google. i quite like it as its different to everything else. im happy so long as its canadian.
