Indeed they are Super, usually in the 2nd of 4 coaches, this is partly to allow for a standard chassis and also the fact that they move in both directions as the on switch has a reverse function.

There is no reason though that you couldn't fit the battery & motor into the body length of a Gordon, but you'd physically not be able to get it all into a Thomas in the same scale.

One other thing to bear in mind is that at the moment all the cars in an Advance are a custom length, in fact the modelling of the chassis is standard, all that changes is the covers on the top of them.

Of course the reason for this is to keep production costs down as there are only one set of tooling needed. But I reckon with the potential sales they could get it would be more than worth it. Smile
