@super
I want to try this site.
How does the cost of shipping from this site compared to ebay?

can you give me example of what you purchased and total cost?

Thank you

I have not used this site for anything but research but there are many other members here that have had great experiences with buying. Maybe they can answer that question for you.

Hi Action here is an example of a train I bought recently using SAL as the shipping method from Hobbysearch:

Item name Unit Price Q.T.Y Price Order No.
Item name Loves Fun Train Series Series E233-6000 Yokohama Line (3-Car Set) (Model Train)
1,700 yen 1 1,700 yen 14-0117-0157
[Order Date]
2014/01/17
Shipping Cost 780 yen
Amount 2,480 yen

so $24.80 with shipping very good price and way less than eBay!

Geris

May I ask how long does it take for SAL shipping from this seller to reach you?

8-14 days max, I will update this as I have my daughters High School graduation present coming from HobbySearch via SAL and they sent it on the 20th of June and it should be here today or Monday which would be 8-10 days, there is no tracking on SAL but it is insured on the sellers end.
Thanks Gerisplarail1. Do you have to be home and sign for the package with SAL?

No it is like standard U.S. mail they drop it by the door, EMS is the one you have to sign for EMS is the equivalent of our FedeX or UPS. SAL is very nice Standard affordable hassle free mailing.
