Definitive Source of Information

Hi Folks,

I was wondering if you all have a single source of information you turn to for Tomy Plarail?  In my web searching I have found quite a few good websites (some of the awesome ones by members of these forums too - I've learn't a lot from reading Sun's website! Thank you!).

But is there a single database (preferably searchable and sortable) to see all the products that have been produced? or even a book? or a wiki? I guess they probably have something like this in Japanese.

I agree that Sunhuntins huge web site has one of the largess collections on the Internet. https://sunstomyandfriends.weebly.com/

Have you checked out Ripleys personal collection of Tomy/Plarail Catalogs through the years? https://www.blueplastictracks.com/showth...p?tid=2295

That's an awesome archive of catalogs. I love looking through these sorts of things to get inspiration.

I found this website interesting too: https://myplaraildepot.weebly.com/shinkansen.html

Oh yes, That is Geris's web site. He was one of the original Members (Gerisplarail1) here at BPT's and a wealth of knowledge. I learned a great deal from him and we miss him around here. He has since moved on to become a massive collector and builder of Legos. Check out his YouTube Channel and look back to the beginning where you will see some of his Plarail unboxing video's.

Nice video's. Thanks for the link.

I'm looking for these two books - do you have them?

Also - I think we should make a database...

On this topic, I did find someone had the intention to make an online database here:

http://en.db.plarail.club/Plarail_Database

...but it doesn't look like they got anywhere with it as there is no content and the last update is 2016.

So therefore, I have been working on something that's almost ready to go. Now the hard part is it needs to be populated with years and years worth of information!  Confused

None-the-less, if I chip away it can be a work in progress.

Here's a sneak peak:

More soon when there is something better to show.

That is fantastic Finno, I am excited to see more of your efforts. This would be a great research tool for all. Please keep us updated with your progress and I am sure that our Members can help with any information you may not have like years or different variations of items.

Hi Finno,

I was involved in some of that site. If you intend on helping, I can get you in contact with the site admin.
