im thinking on making tomy styled Paxton Sidney may be next and I am reusing the murdering diesel as its a useless model and wanting to do a character that's actually useful

I removed the face with a blade that was heated with a lighter don't try unless you are experienced

Flynn but with metallic details the grey didn't look good he is now brighter might touch up a few areas

and the back of him

I also have a den and dart that I am adding back details too and I will show when I am complete

You should've used red for his water cannons and emergency lights and painted the side ladders gold, but it's better than the original grey.

more progress on Paxton here is trying the lining with posca pen
[Image: 20221226-005132.jpg]
other side
[Image: 20221226-005139.jpg]
doing the lining
[Image: 20221226-172315.jpg]
finishing the lining on one side
[Image: 20221226-224511.jpg]
and the other too
[Image: 20221226-224535.jpg]
the back
[Image: 20221226-224545.jpg]
this is why its important to look at multiple pictures of different angles and even the show as Paxton has back lining. his back buffers are black and not orange I might paint the buffer beam a lighter orange as the side rods. overall I like acrylic more than spray paint as you can do more than spraying and makes a more mat result I just need to glue cardboard at the back of the big square hole and get the trackmaster model for the face as he is faceless at the moment

Looking good T-Real. I may have missed it but will you be replacing the face and if so with what?

Looking good so far! All I can say is try to be steady with the lining, Paxton's lining is infinitely harder than Sidney's lining and I've done a TOMY Paxton three times now!

I have often struggled with 'lining' on customs. One of the most frustrating thing modelers face. I haven't actually tried it yet (except on flat surfaces) but it may be worth a try since you can find them in many widths and colors. Like Pactra Trim Tape if you can find it.

May not do well on the bumpy surface of Paxton though. I wonder if there is any soft vinyl tape in colors and widths out there? I know that YouTuber 'Custom Trackmaster' makes his own with vinyl sheets and the CriCut machine which I may try out on mine at some time.
