here are some cutoms i wanted to show

to make Colin a bit more accurate I removed the following from the crane and the bottom of the base 

it has a stick that when turned makes a clicking sound kinda like the vintage r2d2 from kenner but I removed it to have it more seamless and not to be annoying (optional modding)

there we go much better 

I gave Colin a chain that my mom had and don't worry she gave me the bit of a really long chain so it wasn't wasted 

it fit the pole perfectly but it wiggled so I glued it on at the end to not be on the side or etc.

the hook was sourced from a tomy cranky that was very battered so I took a knife and cut the hook off (careful when using sharp tools) 

and I used a soldering iron to make a hole at the top of the hook to fit (since it looked like a ball joint it went in just right and then moved along) 

I could have ended here but I wanted to make it look right might not be accurate but its better than nothing 

painted it with a coat of cream twice and then painted the top of the hook red and filled the gaps with paint.

after painting the hook black and painting the roof as it was missing paint. It looks better than before with no hook. This might not be accurate but I'm not looking for that I just want a model that's close enough to whats seen in the show. Overall looks good and I saw people do this with Colin and wanted to try.
