Are These Really Worth This?

Are these that rare that they are worth this price even if one has defective sound?

Wow! that is pricey. Almost $300. I defer to Geri on if they are worth it.

No that is super inflated I have seen them for alot less but they do not come up often if you see one at a fair price snatch it up.
Thanks Geris...you know everything.

So the Keikyu 2100 is somewhat rare in red or blue. Is one color any rarer than the other. Also isn't there also a Keikyu 1000 that looks very similar to these but I take it not as rare?

I believe the Blue is the rarest . then there is a 1000 that is red but called stainless steel because it is silver and red made of Stainless steel to protect against Sea Salt. (pictured below) The Keikyu 1000 comes in many forms there is a Keikyu called Red Special Old Form it has the light gimmick it was sold by itself, then the is a red 1000 one released in a 3 pack, the newest in the series is the happy yellow. only the 2100's have sound. here is a great webpage for reference:

I thought I replied to this post...or maybe I just forgot to click Submit.

Thanks for the link Geris. That is a nice site and I have saved the YouTube Channel also as it has many videos of neat trains. I think I had come across this channel before but only when I was researching Monorails. https://www.youtube.com/user/suruga980/videos

I like the red 2100 much better as the blue one looks rather plain on the sides. I also like the sounds better as there is a hum that goes on as the train moves as it seems more realistic.
