Plarail Winston seems quite a bit smaller than this one. I just don’t like the new Winston, he‘s too blocky.

the trackmaster 2 winston may worth a lot down the road assuming no more of it is being released.

I just went to Wal Mart and they don't have the latest releases yet.  I guess  I will have to be patient.

My guess Walmart will get the new stuff sometime in August/September.

The province where I live just lifted the ban on selling non essential items (that includes toys unfortunately).  The shelf is still loaded with Kenji, Thomas with Annie and Clarabell.  I can wait but I do looking forward to examining the tanker to see if the face can indeed removable.

The face is not removable, it’s molded into the tanker and painted. I’ve seen some copies where the paint is chipped even when it’s still in the package, but luckily mine is clean.

Also interesting to note, the Talking Thomas & Percy from the set already have sound files to have them interact with James, the others will most likely work with those as well but for now, there is really only footage of James talking to Thomas & Percy.

Very interesting. Do you know if Thomas and Percy already had the sound files to talk to James (and the other engines) when they were first released or did Mattel just update them recently/in the past few months?

I gotta say, these may very well be some of the best Motorized packs Mattel has released. Their proportions are still way off and those buttons are so jarring, but the amount of detail they added (different faces, unique detail on the sides, PAINTED BUFFERS, etc.) shows that they do actually care about the toys (or maybe they just finally acknowledged how bad it was before)
