Fantastic work Muddy, an engineering mind for sure. What a great idea for running a rare train using a modified chassis of one that is easily found. I see the airport has changed and the flying Ace has moved, have you made any other Layout changes?

Thank You SuperSmile
Thanks for noticing the changes too...
Yes I moved the mechanical station, when I realized that now that we have the mechanical airport, I didn't need it to represent it, and now that it has Ace the ridiculous flying car on it, that it could go anywhere on the layout!! No other real changes other than that... just replaced the station with some roadway, jazzed up the area where the station is now, and moved around a couple of trees and fences..
Play nice & have fun!!Smile

I got Etienne for my son last year and I’m somewhat disappointed that he never seems to run when we have the tracks set up. I enjoyed watching him run here since he’s such a neat, somewhat unusual engine.

That is my most favorite part of this hobby, re-engineering an existing Layout. Not a total re-do but studying, creating and constructing new features or avenues. Nice work.

I see there is an Auto-Switch in the Layout, was that there before? I can't get a good view of the area behind the Airport and the new tall hill on the left, whats there?. I do have to admit though Muddy, I can't wait for the time when you get either a phone camera that can make higher resolution videos as your Layout would look awesome in HD.

Wow, yellow Victor really has some pulling power! It’s also nice to see a cameo from the black/red/yellow C12.

A couple of questions for Muddy:
Are these Victors all pre-2013 Plarail/Trackmaster 1?
AND....
Roughly how big is you train room?

I ask the second question because we’re moving next month and I’m seriously considering building a detached “hobby hut” out back.

Oh, how exciting....a Hobby Hut. I suggest you start out small like this one and you can always add on later. Big Grin

Yeah Super, that’s about what I had in mind! I think the garage door needs to be bigger to accommodate the semi trucks and 40 foot containers from Japan.

Maybe when the ramshackle former crack house next door falls down, I can expand my warehouse over there. Big Grin

@OTR Yes, the Victor's were Plarail's standard red Victor and The special yellow and green Big Splash Victor(love it!), and the 2009 standard red FP model.
The train room is 20x20, so it holds two 8ft sheets of plywood end to end, butt up against the wall, with four feet on the end to walk around to the other side.
@Super, Yes the challenge of tweeking an existing layout and then engineering it without disrupting too much, is especially fun to do!Smile
ALSO, I took a look at my phone's settings and options, and I think I might have HD on my phone camera, so I am going to make a "closer look" video tonight, to see if it might improve the quality. Smile
