Amtrak Announces Next-Generation of High-Speed Rail USA

Its overhead electric in the USA? Wow, that is going to be expensive to build the track system let alone the high speed train. When I think of Amtrak I only see the F-Units EMD's so to me, this train is not much different than all the other bullet trains in Europe and Asia

The train is nice and all, but we as a country need to stop touting "existing infrastructure" and start building/revitalizing rails instead. You are hard pressed to even find a station here, let alone get anywhere productive from it. We also need to stop cutting Amtrak funding every year...

Ooh, an american train that isn't gigantic. I'll definitely buy a bunch.
