WOW... I litterly was looking at it about 20-30 min ago and it was still at around $300, boy did it shoot up there fast. Yep, not meant to be. I am sure we will see another one at some point. Confused

It was a very interesting bidding pattern between only 2 bidders...I should have known when it went from 3 bids to 5 bids but the high amount didn't change, that the high bidder had increased his unseen max bid not once but twice before the second bidder had ever challenged him, that the first bidder had really considered his strategy....when the second bidder began to peck away through a series of 14 bids and finally stopped at $1300, it was obvious that the first bidder had protected himself with an outlandish unapproachable maximum. I had undervalued the lot at $1600 and it seems the that winner and I were near the same estimate!!Smile
I only wish I would have waited another hour before loading the funds, as it cost me $20.88 just to sit on the bench and watch before ever even getting to bat..Sad
I don't know if we'll ever seen another BNIB PG again though Ripley, it was the first one w/ box new or used that I've ever seen at auction.:/

I was tempted to bid on the lot but didn't. I figured I would go to $1000 but talked myself out of it this morning.

No, I don't think so, but I believe with jauce there is a fee maybe 3% or something of what you are transferring. I do not think that bit gets refunded. And depending on the payment method there may have been a foreign transaction fee as well. Undecided

Oh..thats right. I am glad that Japamart doesn't charge anything for that.

Yes it's 3.9% + 40¥ of whatever the amout is...
Should have waited until an hour before closing:/
Lesson learned: if you really want it and plan to out bid everyone with a ridiculously over the top bid then it doesn't matter when you load the funds or bid, but if there are already bidders involved and your bid is halfhearted it is better to wait until near the end before even loading the money and risking losing the fee. I kinda already knew that, I guess I fell in love with the difference in the current exchange rate:/
It was actually a dumb gamble on my part.
I guess we make mistakes as reminders to regain focus.

So then, because of this, when you do buy something, you would actually be paying 3.9% over and above the cost of the items, the commissions, fees and the shipping because you would pay for those things with moneys you deposited?...ouch...might want to look into Japamart. Wonder if FromJapan also charges for deposits.
