Plarail 103 Series Help

Hi guys, I have recently fell in love with the plarail 103 series commuter trains and also while on my trip in Japan caught this commuter train on the Osaka loop line whilst going to and from school.

I know plarail has produced many variants of this train but I just need help with locating where these 103's came from like what set it packs they came in. The only one that I know where it came from was the orange Osaka loop line 103 which was a plarail store exclusive.

This orange one here

This is a pretty good photo of some of the different 103's you can get

There are green, dark green, blue, yellow, orange and beige variants of these trains and I just want to know where these variants of the 103 where found like what set or pack they came in. If you could provide photos of some of the packs or sets that these 103's were found in that would be greatly appreciated.

I think we had a discussion about the 103's a while back but I can't find it. I think they released in several different ways, one or two of which I remember were 3 train boxed sets. Here is one of those but these 103's are a bit different than the ones you pictured as they have a single headlight. I also have in my head a different 3 pack release also but whats in my head doesn't always compute into reality. Maybe you could find more by browsing Ripleys Plarail Catalog Collection. https://www.blueplastictracks.com/showth...p?tid=2295

What the description says...
Quote:It is a plarail of the 103 series 3 color set (Uguit · Sky Blue · Orange Vermilion) which was released in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Plarail in 1999. This product was a reprint of "Electric Plasma Train" released in 1968, it was sold only for one year.

I looked through all the catalogues and the only one I could find was the yellow 103 which was released in 2006-2007 for 1 year in a 3 pack with 2 other trains

Thank you so much bitelet. The only one that's left is the beige one with the blue stripe which is probably the rarest one out of the 7

The last one left is the beige one. This would be the rarest one because I have never seen it on jauce, same with the yellow one. Does anyone know where the beige one would be found?
That is an interesting question since I don't recall ever seeing a beige one like that before with the blue stripe. Hope we can learn more.

Maybe it is just a very, very well done custom. I think this is a custom as on every other 103 series train it has the JR logo on the front, The Beige one doesn't.

I can confirm that the beige 103 is a custom. While clicking on the link where I got the pictures from it basically showed this mans 'journey' and revealed the process that he did to make this train.
