The Vicarage Orchard ~ Layout table upgrade progression

There's no way it'll even be done by tomorrow.
The curves, rounded edges, and dimensions of the table have really slowed down the process.
I managed to get 3/4 of the under mat down today...the final hard 1/4 tomorrow, then trace and trim the edges, add appointments and sight parts, a finally realignment, triple check, and it'll be finished!
Hoping for Christmas Day! Smile

BTW, watching the video on YouTube right now. That’s a lovely new layout and your efforts and struggle were totally worth it!

It also reminds me that I need to get my streamlined Gordon out and run him!

Nice and big. I love the long runway for Jeremy to take off which he does going up, up, and away! The little scene with the over turned oil tanker is cool and the ocean side scene is very neat with lots going on there.

What did you end up doing with the edges of the table top and did you use different colored Poster Board for the ground effects, it gives the Layout a level of Art to it.

Great work Muddy and Tully!

Thanks Super...yes, I used sheets of large .69 cent DollarTree poster board for the base colors, then cutout shapes and pieces from different colored thin foam sheets from Michaels' for the accents...
...AND also...that's Gorrilla Tape as edge banding!! Lol

I might have to steal the idea about the poster board and thin foam sheets. I haven’t settled on a final concept for the scenery on our live layout but considering how beaten up the Christmas version got, something simple and inexpensive is a must!
