2014 Redisigned Percy/2014 Redesigns

9 Replies, 11944 Views

Just picked up the new 2014 Percy! I think it's really nice, and I like the new room that's now a flat black, but I wish tier was a new car included instead of that old crappy red caboose. I think it runs better than the old ones with its flat drive, and I like the new switch position. I personally like it Smile

PS: Ucwepn and others reviewed this before me, and if it weren't for them, I wouldn't have got it Wink do you guys that have seen it like it? What are your thoughts on these new models?

You really have to get us some pictures of your collection as it does sound to be a good one.

Its a lovely loco and it only took them 20 years to change the design HAHA. The front of the body shell doesn't quite line up with the chassis leaving small gaps on either side when screwed down and the holes in the wheels are terrible but other than that it is a great little package.

Guys, this train isn't from 2014. I got this exact same engine with the same type of motor in 2013
I saw one at toys r us but it was in the 2010 box. why?
clever,cheerful,confident. come on! It's emily!
Great review T-R-Y. I'd like to find the Little Friends version of this Percy since I already own the old Big Friends version with the brakevan and don't want to spend extra on what I already have. Of course, Percy is just too popular a character!

Yeah I think we're just used to calling them 2014 since they were the latest versions before three months ago. Plus, there seemed to have been a new packaged wave of engines dated 2013, but most of them were widely available in store in the early months of 2014. I'm pretty sure that these are all technically 2012 engines but some now with minor modifications. I think when we do refer to these engines in a few years time, when we refer to the 2014 Percy, we'd be most likely refering to the redesigned version for the grey track TrackMaster.
