Ok, So here is where my odessy has ended...
After spending most of the weekend dedicated to figuring out exactly how to make contact with TakaraTomy to register for the Silver Thomas Lottery.
I threw 2 lines in the water, first I contacted a good friend who has a friend who speaks Japanese, who has previously helped me translate Japanese things. I sent him a screenshot of the stamps scan ticket that comes with finding a gold ball.
While I waited for the info from him, I searched the Internet for a Tomy contact number.
I found the USA Tomy customer service number and called them.
The Rep had no idea what I was talking about, and said that though they are associated with TakaraTomy, they have no interrelated business dealings and are separate....
She did have thier phone number though!!
011 81 3 3693 1031
I then contacted AT&T to find out how much overseas billing charges were.
They (Malik) hooked me up with a $5. per month overseas add on to my account (cancel anytime), that dropped charges from $6.25 per min. to just .24 cents per min. Smile
I really thought I was on my way!!Big Grin
BUT I couldn't call because it was Friday here, but already Saturday there, and they're only open Mon-Fri 10am-5pm, so I'd have to wait until my Sunday @ 6pm:/
Meanwhile I had also found two more Takara Tomy contact numbers on a random blog post:
Tokyo 03 5650 1031 and,
Osaka 06 6395 1031
So I really really really thought...
THEN before I could call on Sunday I got the translation...
"Contest is for residents of Japan ONLY" Sad:::
(Moment of silence)

I called all three of the numbers anyway... One just rang and rang with no one ever answering, the other two had what I am guessing was a repetitive "number not in service" message or something, because I could not understand what was being said, it was repeated over and over, and touching any number (believe me I tried them all) and the # key never prompted it to direct me to anywhere :/
WHAT A JIP of wasted worms and a snapped line...
LUCKILY though, my friend's friend who translated the ticket asked his parents who live in Japan, if they would enter the lottery for me, and they have agreed to help us!! Big Grin
So all we have left to do is mail it to themSmile FISH ON!!!
If anyone can use those numbers to find out what that Japanese recording was saying (I would love to know)or that could possibly help you contact Takara Tomy to register I wish you the BEST OF LUCK!Smile

Fantastic Muddy, who is going to fill out the questionnaire? Wouldn't it be neat if after all this that your ticket was drawn?

The chances may be very slim but the odds are the same for everyone so...somebody has to win, why not you? Smile

This has me curious if the Japan Yahoo Action proxy services like Jauce, FromJapan, JapaMart, etc... would (or do) offer a service where you could register or have them register for you for something like this? That would be awesome. Big Grin
