This looks like it could be a re-release and it uses the older 'C' Battery Motor

I don't know what the word 'Next' refers to but it is on the box.

Thomas the Tank Engine Basic Set

With the new curve tunnels re-colored

Light up a tunnel ! Shinkansen Series E7 `Kagayaki` w/Headlight Basic Set

I like the re-colored gray tunnel/shed

I really want those tunnels!

That 'Thomas the Tank Engine Basic Set' is the same set that was released in 2013 except the green tunnel is replaced with these new 1/4 curve tunnels. I always thought that 2013 Basic set was weird because of Plarails advertising that green curve tunnel on a straight rail. They also did this on another set with a brown tunnel,











Here is a video of that new Kagayakii Shinkansen Series E7 Set... I am not impressed with that Station Platform.

Ya know, that platform in any other manufacturers train set would be alright but we have become accustom to having better from Plarail/Tomy and thats what makes this scenic piece unimpressive to me. Compared to the other platforms and stations that Tomy/Plarail has released this one looks like a cheap Chinese Knockoff, sorry Plarail, just speaking my mind.
