i got some items

I rather like these wagons myself. I checked my own. I don't have any of the plain blue ones, but as well as four of the brown HiT ones with black strapping which came with Bill and Arthur, I also have:

2x red with random coloured shapes, ex 'Birthday Celebration' set, marked HiT 2006, released 2008 (in UK).



3x red with green Christmas wreaths and bows, ex 'Holiday Time in Sodor' set, marked HiT 2006, released 2008 (in UK). This was also in the 2007 Walmart (US) exclusive 'Holiday Delivery Thomas' set.



1x creamy white with red strapping and ICE CREAM FACTORY, ex Charlie in Play Time (greatest Moments) marked R9242 Mattel 2009, released 2010.



1x blue with Misty Island logging logo, ex Bash (Big Friends), marked V9035 Mattel 2009, released 2011

Good work.  One point though, I don't know why the Wiki calls these bolster wagons, because they aren't.

A bolster wagon is a flat wagon designed for the transport of lengths of metal or timber, such as rail. It has one or more bolsters, i.e. baulks of wood, across the width of the wagon, and the load is constrained by adjustable stanchions that protrude vertically from the bolster.

These 4-plank wooden wagons with raised ends appear to me to have evolved from the Plarail Toki 15000-type open wagon, for example F-09:

I Got steam along Thomas for £14 in total. It works the steam and all I might upload a video to prove it works later seller said that it worked but didn't have the time to test the steam ability so I think it was a great find.

overall I don't get many variants of characters but when I do I want the ones I like eg chocolate Percy.

I got a tomy Spencer and Gordon after 3 years of not having a complete Spencer I finally got one tender and all

here is Spencer next to the tomy one I had in 2020 that was only the body and the remaining parts of the trackmaster one I had from 2017 to 2020 this means he will appear in my series again 

and the back of the tender inside the shell it says 05 meaning its one of the first few

now it may be odd I bought one but there's a reason to it as I will make a fan character.

different shades of blue it also says 02 in the coal cover but my original one has 07 





and with James who I will use the wheels and the tender for the custom that I will make (it will be the last custom I make for the year) 

some hints for who it will be are its black has 2 tenders and his name starts with a M. I will post progress images of this custom and even make a video on it.

After going a long way I finally got my childhood dream item a BIG I mean GIANT Thomas for £20 in total. A FB marketplace pick up .It came with the box (condition mediocre) it also came with all these trains and some ertls. the tomy engines that were in the listing were Henry, Thomas Diesel 10 (original one says 00 and is a lighter shade) ,Duck,Lady also original 2000 version,Diesel and last but not least Oliver yes Oliver he has one missing side rod but I will use the face for mine.

with all this track also I won't customise any of the engines and will keep them as variants as they are interesting I'm guessing that at one point the parents bought their kid(s) some extra trains 





The GIANT Thomas when my little brother walked into the room he couldn't believe it as it was one item he also wished to have suffice to say he liked it as much as I did. Shaq Thomas.

The 1st generation Thomas and the 2nd generation Thomas that I had one key difference is the middle wheel or lack there of

and also the older tomy logo compared to the modern one later versions had. She was somewhat corroded but I changed the battery contacts and it works I also took the middle bit and put it on my lady (which she didn't have)

Oliver from the lot has a darker face but I like it a bit more

and yes I put the water tanks the right way

I gave duck the shell from the lot as it was in perfect condition and Oliver the smokebox area

I also got some salt vans fro £13 not bad considering usually its 1 and not 2. The salt van came with dash and close shave duck but these are from dash.

Has anyone tried using Edwards short side rods on an Oliver to see if they are the same?

Edward's coupling rods are about the same length, but with wider grooves compared to Oliver's. They should be able to fit without jamming, unless the pins might hit the front of the chassis (on the insides of the unique front wheels).
