Bought milliput just now, I'll work on it in around 3 hours.

Nice job on the front air vent (fan?)'s texture. This angle already makes him worth looking forward to. Good thing I've changed my mind about using Salty for larger diesels because he gives good results within the Plarail style (like Ucwepn's T Class and TMP2016's Noor Jehan). Seeing as the big differences allow for more potential, I guess I should overlook the characters' real prototypes in such cases.

I can't believe I've never once thought about it, but I wonder if doing this with Den could be just as good if not even better. His cab seems a bit closer to Derek's, not to mention his ends being more rounded. He might also make a good DD51 for those who don't have them in Plarail.
That could work with Den, you'd have to do a lot more reshaping though.

This is cool to watch coming together. I’ve always like center cab locomotives, in spite of hearing from quite a few railroaders who claim to hate operating them.

Salty seems to be a good base model for all kinds of diesel locomotives, so I think you made a great choice there.

Did alot of work when I had the time, the face has been grinded away already, superfine white has been used, and a whole lot of sanding has taken place.

The first details I'd suggest giving him before priming would be fake bogie frames and the middle fuel tank to make the chassis look a bit more like his (and cover up the front wheels being smaller). Just make sure they won't go too far out the sides.

When I thought about using the TOMY Lorry 1 face like KaizouThomas did, I totally forgot he also cut it up and filled it with putty to get the right size. Here's how he made it, and I hope you could get such a perfect result for your version as well. Probably the one advantage to how the Season 5 newcomers had near identical faces.
