Rarest TrackMaster Trains

It's been stated before that "recalled" could've been mistaken for "recall seeing it in stores", another popular FF Percy theory is that he was retooled into the R/C Percy and people have shown evidence to support that before as well (for example his whistle and dome being solid yellow instead of gold). I personally think they couldn't find a way to fit a battery in that tiny low freight car he would've had, at least Toby's copper car was pretty tall. Or they tried to figure out a way to fit the battery in Percy himself which would've also complicated things, maybe delaying him to the point of cancellation. After that long ramble, I also don't think he was recalled, just either repurposed or scrapped entirely.

I think that you are underestimating your talent and ability to find and accumulate these Duck…lol
They are 24 year old, very obscure, unknown foreign toys, that unless you know where to look for them, AND what to look for, might as well be considered unobtainable.
That’s pretty much the same scenario as Monty.
Monty, like the Candy Thomas was also mass produced, and people even knew that he existed from FisherPrice advertising, but no one knew where to find one, until he was found in Poland, and though many have surfaced and made their way onto western websites for sale since then, 90% of them were only ever sold by just two different Polish eBay sellers.
Most people have never seen or heard of the Candy Thomas or would recognize it’s packaging either.
I don’t think that I have ever seen a Candy Thomas or Percy ever offered up to this day on eBay, Amazon, or made available for sale anywhere in North America, so if you listed one of yours on eBay it would be just like when the first Monty was ever auctioned off too…Which was a pretty RARE event.

I agree. I think I’ve only ever seen one Percy Yujin sold on eBay, and that includes listings that had one among larger lots. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the others. It sounds like it’s easier to find the yujins in the Asian market, but still rare.

As for Alfie and Monty, Monty was much harder to find here in the states since it was only sold in Poland. I managed to collect 6 Alfies by scouring the Canadian marketplace. The Monty I managed to buy was really just dumb luck. I had been watching eBay.co.uk and saw a listing with a lot of several train and track. The photos weren’t great, but worked out that the dump truck in it (and not included specifically in listing description), was in fact Monty. I ended up snagging the whole lot for very cheap (even with the overseas shipping), though I had to convince the seller that I would accept responsibility in case overseas shipping went bad. The only other Monty I ever saw was on a listing on US Mercari, and seller was super shady and eventually claimed they had already sold the Monty listed.

I did hold out hope that there was a Monty on a polish website, but sleuthing from a fellow BPT poster confirmed it was not real!

So, imo, Monty is still one of the rarest out there.
