That is a psychedelic box car. Is it representing a Department Store in Switzerland?

Having just google'd the name on it I guess it is as that was the only hits I got.  I thought when I saw it that maybe it was a brand of Italian Ice Cream or something lol  Just goes to show some stores were doing 'colours of the world' before Benetton even existed Big Grin

Yes, Roco has always done 'N Scale' but they have always been quite expensive.  Although now I think they are phasing their 'N Scale' range out as in the last couple of years they purchased Fleischmann and now it seems that Fleischmann is phasing out its HO scale range and making only N scale and Roco the opposite.  It sort of makes sense for Roco to do that if they own both brands I guess.  I think that may also explain the sudden rash of very reasonably priced Fleischmann HO scale rolling stock and track that is appearing on auction sites as previously they were one of the more premium priced brands...

I know what you mean about the colour scheme, when I saw it I thought it so unusual that I had to have it (although got it at a great price), to me though as I said to Super it reminded me more of Italian Ice Cream lol!

Next up is a station 'island' set, basically it is a platform system designed for tracks running either side of it hence the 'Island' designation.

Last up for today is possibly the most beautiful train I've ever seen modelled in any format.  People I give you the excellent and beautiful 10 car "Twilight Express - Mizukaze"...

Just beautiful and so many cars in the set. Are there seats in the forward and rear observation decks to place some sitting passengers?

It is a prototypical example of the real thing (i.e. same number of cars as the real thing) hence the length of it.  The model also seems to be a premium Kato model and the most expensive brand new one I've bought to date, but even then it is still comparable in price to a higher spec OO locomotive (i.e. just an engine) so is still great value to me.

Hi Super, yes there are seats in every car, they even have the correct colour seating for the appropriate cars.  I've also bought two sets of carriage lighting so that I can add that to the train and light all the cars fully as well as I think this one deserves it.  It does have some lighting already of course on the head and tail cars and very fancy lighting as well.  Once I've added the car lighting I'll post some pics and maybe a video of at least some of the train running - I have nearly put together a small test layout (a basic oval with a couple of points and some scenery pieces), but not got a final one started yet.

I was surprised you didn't mention the wagons I posted about before that train (not to mention the station kit) as I thought you'd get a real buzz out of the wagons - a special set of dual container cars featuring 'Maersk' containers.  There is a set of 5 wagons each carrying a pair of scale 40ft containers stacked one on top of the other and yes that is a real type of wagon out there Smile

The station kit is pretty cool as it is modular like the Kato track and you can clip them together just like you do the track.  The kit I went for was for two main platforms (fully assembled apart from small detail parts and stickers which are provided separately in the kit) and two end pieces.  It is designed as an 'island' platform or in other words serves two lines.  You can also get special track pieces for use primarily with the dual lane Kato track.  These special pieces split the dual lines and open them up so that the pieces go either side of the island platforms making for a neat solution to layout design.  Price of this station kit was a mere £18, a total bargain if you ask me.

This station kit can also use one of those signal boxes that I got a kit of recently, basically you can remove a panel from the canopy on one of the platforms and the signal box then fits onto the platform and the top level of it goes through the canopy.  Something I will definitely be doing I hasten to add Smile
