"good" buying of trackmaster 2.0

called into a local department store today, hoping to find a certain lego minifig. found him by pure fluke... first pack i picked up was him. lol.
i decided to check the thomas after seeing a lady standing and taking photos on her phone. she was looking at buying for her grandson, so i gave her some advice on what track is compatible and such. i dont think she fully understood what i meant, but is likely to go with wooden as that is what her grandson is familiar with from daycare.

anyway, they were having a 2 day sale with 40% off fisher-price. i put on layaway the large avalanche escape set, troublesome traps, sort and switch and the 2 truck packs. total came to $200. not bad given the big set retails for $150 alone. no photos yet, gotta pay it off first. hehe.

after talking with that woman, i do think fisher-price needs to make the differences between ranges more obvious. i completely lost her when i said the 2 trackmaster ranges are incompatible for the most part. poor thing! the packs are too similar, especially the new tale of the brave themed items.

Yes I believe their solution should be to rename it trackmaster 2 or a different name or totally remove the older ones from sale and send them all to my place Tongue

i like that idea! even i got a bit muddled with the TOTB stuff. there was a bit of take n play, and the boxes were really similar to trackmaster.

bought the new plarail hamburger car from jauce for Y1200. Big Grin
