Modified Bachmann N Scale Thomas

Hey guys, it's been a while, but I'm back, and I'm happy to say that I have finally finished a modelling project! I've really enjoyed the Bachmann N Scale Thomas range over the last couple of years, but I do prefer the Model Series, so I set out to make Thomas look like he did in Series 1.

Here's a photo showing the differences between the original Bachmann model and my completed one. I had to make a new running plate, which I designed, then got 3D printed, along with a new face. I was able to reuse the lamp, buffers, and lamp irons from the Bachmann model, and the brake pipes and front coupling hook came from Graham Farish detail packs. I also added rear lining using waterslide transfers. All of the 3D printed pieces were painted by hand.

Here are a few pictures of Thomas with various objects to give a rough idea of his size:

Overall, I'm very happy with how he turned out! I've also got Percy and Toby, and I'm planning on giving them new faces eventually as well, but I'm not sure when that'll be. Anyways, Thanks for reading!

WOW...I am amazed at how much detail you managed to fit into such a small model. Great job T-Man 👍
