Pre-Sodor Connor

With inspiration from our very own Super, I've begun a brand-new custom, without anything going wrong thus far, with a spare Plarail Connor!

Using a neutral gray paint, I've already finished painting his tender, and reapplying the black buffers, and have begun applying coats of primer on the tender and locomotive battery cover to make it more accurate to a New York Central Railroad J3a streamlined Dreyfuss Hudson locomotive. I'm still lacking the appropriate decals to give him the NYC RR markings, but it's coming along handsomely; might upload a "custom" video on YouTube if I feel content with this custom, but it's still a Work-In-Progress sitting on a R.I.P. track for my display.

How exciting, can't wait to see the finished product on the rails. Back feeling better?

I can't wait to let all of you see him! I'd say "Yes", but it's taking a bit longer than I would have even hoped; not as painful, but still sore.

Wow! Can't wait to see the finished product.
Proud owner of Tomy/Plarail trains. Cool
At long last, he's done! (Relatively speaking; don't have "New York Central" decals for his tender.)

I even painted a coach to give him something streamlined to pull!

Looks great! I'm sure there are waterslide decals on ebay to give it that finishing touch.

I'm going to do some browsing on eBay for the decals, but I've grown used to him without the markings. Thank you!

Excellent work Hank. The coach with the rounded rear was an excellent choice to go with the rounded edges of the tender.

Thank you, Super. I wouldn't have done it if you hadn't come up with the idea!

It looks quite nice when it's attached to the AmTrak coaches I have.

Is that your only Connor?
