More new goodness! Hopefully some sort of renewed licensing deal has been done.

I'm calling this one Thomas and Bertie 2016

And some lovely Plarail capsule engines

The grey buffers I think are actually brown. While Thomas does get wrecked from falling into a cavern, this Thomas seems to be, from the looks of it, portraying Thomas at the very end of the chase scene with Sailor John, when Thomas gets stuck in the water at the quay while Skiff and Sailor John get away. I think so, because the splats look more like muddy water than scratches and scuffs. I also think that if they were making the Thomas from when he fell down the cavern, the number 1 would be completely covered with scratches, like in the movie.

Also, the Bertie appears to be a Capsule Plarail.

They showed this back during the toy show where they revealed the Dr Yellow with the builtin camera (anyone still have the link to the video?). The bridge looks so dorky in action but I kinda love it lol.

Edit: Found it, footage at 16:50:

Thanks Sunhuntin. Bertie uses the same new Plarail chassis, motor and wheels and is as big as an engine. When I first saw the grey track on this set I thought they may be good for trains but I am not so sure the tight radius would work with a train longer than just the engine but I would like to see for sure.

*actively throws money at screen*

Brown Skiff, Sailor John himself, and a battered, dirtied-up Thomas? What a pack!
Marion's nice to have too, but the truck is still kind of 'eh'.

I still need to get my hands on a Marion....

An excellent find!
