Some elements could be very usable on a bigger layout... Big Grin

You have to wonder if you can connect two or more McDonald platform together to form a longer platform.

Could these be the same gauge as Capsule Plarail? They're clearly smaller than the regular trains, so surely they'd have to fit on it. Too bad Ōigawa Thomas' coupling rods are printed on, but the others might have good potential for customs.

They are clearly shorter, but I think they are the same gauge as "normal" Plarail. At least that was the case with some previous McDonald's Happy Set toys. They have front couplings so you can pull them with motorized Plarail engine:

You can see how all the scenery elements interlock in the promotional video that Mr No posted above.

Moreover, it's not very practical and imaginative because it allows only one way traffic (by looking at it, I concluded that the steep yellow slope must be used, making it impossible for the engines to go in the opposite direction). Thankfully, if someone wants one of the old Dokidoki sets, they are still very obtainable today; I have two previous sets and I love them!

However, I must once again emphasize a very important fact: Takara Tomy is still in the business of making classical Thomas & Friends nice Plarail engines and even big sets like this one, and that's good. Classic blue plastic tracks "Thomas & Friends" line is most certainly not dead. Considering the consternation that the "other company" instigated by the infamous "reboot", that's really fantastic news.

Maybe some of us won't like this set, but who cares! There'll be, very likely, more engines and sets from Tomy! That's all that matters. Smile
And I hope Plarail keeps the CGI style engines we know and love because it's a lot better than the reboot. And I bet this "other company" is Mattel with Mototrized & push Along.
Making Customs, Filming Videos and looking for the purest engines. That's how I roll here on Blue Plastic Tracks.

The back of the new Dokidoki Mountain, actually Dokidoki plates. it really doesn’t seem impressive.  Confused
But the load in the yellow wagon is interesting...
