Here is the Plarail Scenic Color Rail Kit ~Snow and Railway~. It looks really nice!

Recently, Plarail has released very few trains from the series of commuter trains, even fewer new models/moulds. Now, I know this is the so-called "SE" series, but could these trains (Rilakkuma & Sumikko Gurashi) have been more poorly and cheaply made? Is this worthy of being named Plarail?

Additionally, it seems to me that the motor car "hangs" a little backwards. And what about these stickers? Do customers have to apply them themselves?
Also, there is a strange remark in the official description of the products: The vehicle is the ES series. Some specifications are different from existing vehicle products. Depending on the combination, you may not be able to play as intended. (machine translation) Any ideas what that could mean?

If I remember correctly I wasn't too impressed with this new ES series of trains when they first came to be. Couldn't locate previous discussions on this. as I thought there were other corner cutting in this line.

As far as the Snow set...I am not impressed with any of the accessories that comes with it and with no train included seems like it would be too expensive just to get some white rails. JMO

All the ES series trains carry that disclaimer, but I've never found out to what it refers specifically.  There's nothing about the one I've got (ES-08, the C12) that warrants it.

But most of the products from Plarail ARE still in stock at a wide variety of other outlets apart from the Amazon warehouse in Japan.

Thanks Dr Chris for the info on the Plarail Keikyu Type 1000 Series 1890. Could it be a well kept secret as it set to release tomorrow. Wonder why we haven't heard about it before or maybe its just my deteriorating brain cells that it was known but I can't remember. I have to assume that since I don't see this on any of the normal online seller options that it is a site specific release. Hmmm that selling price seems to be a little bit stiff for just a 3 piece Plarail train...3500yen?

Yes, you are quite right that this is a Keikyu company Limited Edition, available only through Keikyu outlets.

Keikyu were the first railway company to commission a Limited Edition from Plarail, the Keikyu Corporation Haneda Airport Station Opening Commemoration Model, which was released on December 5, 1999 in a limited edition of 3,000.  They are also the most prolific sellers of Limited Edition Plarail trains in terms of different models, this one will be their 34th I think.

I'm still waiting for Amazon JP to restock the rest of their Plarail products in their warehouse. Hopefully they'll be able to be restocked for the holidays.
