I will be a shameless self promoter today! These are the greatest trackmasters so far in my opinion!

Thanks Ucwepn. System-wise (i.e. everything on-board the engine), looking good. Unfortunate that the price of buffers now seems to be too much for FP. Will be interesting to see whether the next regular release is expected to manage without them as well, then we'll be searching for aftermarket ones
First off let me say that you are not "self promoting" Ucwepn. On the contrary, How can it be considered self promoting when you provide this service for us all. Your popularity comes from our enjoyment and learning about these trains. I can't imagine where we would be right now without your videos. So don't ever be ashamed about letting us know you have released a new video for our viewing enjoyment.

Really, no buffers? Is there a possible reason for that or just a mistake in their mold making? Without the buffers is the non-talking Thomas shell actually longer? LOL...maybe this is their way of answering the complaints of TM2 not having painted buffers...now they have none at all. The sounds are very clear. Will this shell fit on the non-talking TM2 Thomas? Curious what the actual weight difference is between the two. Doesn't look like the speaker system weights that much but it is over the drive wheels. It also looks like it may be taking up the space where you had been adding the weight. I am surprised that he made it through dead mans curve pulling 5 trucks at all.

Thanks Ucwepn!

Hi Super and chrisjo the holding tab on the rear of the talking Thomas is now the speaker grille, no I didn't get a thought to measure the lengths but to my eyes they are very close if not identical. as for weight I would say perhaps the same as a TM1 Thomas non talking version, much heavier than a TM2 regular which is clear to see with the pulling of 5 trucks with no weight added Tongue
Thanks Ucwepn
He should run even better with a wheel swap eh?

Thanks Ucwepn for another great video

My opinion on what I have seen in videos of these Trackmaster 2's (don't own one myself) is that if it weren't for them creating these neat talking versions with everything loaded within the engine, reviews would all be the same as they all use the same chassis and workings. So the reviews would just boil down to what the character looks like. Now its the mod videos of TM2 that become more interesting or is it more sad because they have to be modified to run on these tracks.

My experience with those black traction tires is they do slip a lot. I would like to see if by simply changing those to the more common tires would enable him to make it through dead mans curve pulling the same load. I also think the they may be slipping at the auto slip when it hits the springed resistance of the actuator tab of the point.

Great job mate and thanks

Thanks Super, All good points and something to think about. I am happy I can now perform this mod if there are any future engines that become "must haves". I will try swapping the tires and adding weight as the light weight seemed to be the problem or him cocking a wheel in the air at times.

Nice to give the 2 Jinty's a run and of course the star of the show Powerful Gordon Tribute, Thanks again Mike, he's great!
