I thought it came with a drive unit but the pictures actually show it sat on a truck, oh well, I still like it and may have to get a suitable unit/chassis for it!

thanks, tramp.
they were what i grew up with too, and thankfully mum was a huge fan of 2nd hand goods so it was relatively easy to grow my collection as a child. i remember once finding the hippo and alligator europark drawbridge and only knowing by the connector shape it was tomy. took until i started collecting properly in 09 before i learned where it was from. i also bought half a vintage tunnel from a church gala, certain i would eventually find another half.

there was a yellow forklift, but smaller and a push along. it was designed to hold the magnetic blue boxes. for some reason i dont have a photo up, but theres one in a couple of pamphlets here:
http://sunsthomasandfriends.weebly.com/v...tions.html in the photo with the large speech bubble "do you think one of the animals is named spot?" is likely the easiest one to find.
the first 4 pages under the title "dark blue track instructions" are the ones from my first ever set, and were my only reference for years.

the bodies arent clip on and off like the engines, they require screws and im not sure if they are interchangable. i dont have many, not enough to risk damage.

Would you believe that loco is an Internet meme?

I just found out after looking it up.
Although I have heard the term before I must confess I don't know what a "meme" is. Confused

Very, very rare, extremely valuable, and commands ridiculous prices. Just like real life gold.
Wow I just watched TATMR and rediscovered my Lady. What a coincidence.

A meme is basically a picture of something funny and (depending how funny the picture is) will have a caption.

So is this a good example of a meme? http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/orig...sf40ph.gif

So I got another bargain buy from eBay

I bought it because I wanted a new chassis for my diesel body (from my last eBay lot) to sit on, I also wanted an old Tomy driver with the magnetic feet and it came with the chug along wagon, I've seen these before (on Suns site) and occasionally on eBay, but I've never seen one in the flesh, I was also particularly happy with the signal

The light changes to green when the lever is operated. Does any one know which bit of track it should connect too? I tried it on my freight station but didn't look right.

The engine was a good one but needed new tyres, the chug along wagon is awesome and I'm very happy with the other rolling stock, I was a little disappointed that one of the old Tomy plaids turned out to be a play-mobile girl but Ho-Hum it's an eBay lot and it was a bargain!

Finally, the set came with a yellow base for the shed to sit on, I've never seen a separate base for a shed before?

So here is my chassis under my diesel body,

Wow, great pick up Tramp. From the pictures the Lot looks to be in excellent condition. Is the signal battery operated and have real lights or just change color? The Chug-A-Long wagon looks like it could be a tender.
