Have they been confirmed to be metal? I haven't seen that.
I think the Bridge support height issue is why they include the lower second set of roof replacement parts so they can fit under the normal risers.
I don't think there should not be any problem with the motor, after all Plarail has released 6-car train sets before, standard Plarail motor can also haul an extra unpowered motor car (+4 intermediate cars) as in trains with connect specifications (i.e. Shinkansen).
The shell can might as well be plastic as far as I aware, I have a TomyTec 1/150 bus that is just plain plastic, but has comparable details to Plarail Real Class.

i read somewhere the shells on the real class are made out of metal but i could be wrong.
