Plarail TOMY Thomas NEW RELEASES

It's not announced on Takara Tomy page yet. No announcement on Platetsu web either. I'm not sure will the Doraemon GO! Train be regular or limited edition... It will be released mid December.

Thanks Mr-No
But this is not a General Retail Release correct Mr-No? Or is it a site specific release?

It is a neat and different model for sure. I do like how they detailed an indentation on the shipping container on the powered motor unit instead of just continuing the box to accommodate the motor assembly.

Super's Nitpick: Big Grin

That rear car looks cool and with the large windows it would have been a perfect place for a Worker PlaKid to sit. Like those that have traffic vests and hard hats on.

Wouldn't it have been neat if they included a removable yellow Container for the back car or a removable load of tools and materials for cargo that fit perfectly in the bed?

They really did a great job with the container containing the motor in the first car, and it would be great if they included a "dummy" container for the Car 2, or at least some tools. But never mind, I'm sure I'll come up with something if I get that train... Big Grin

Yes, it's a limited edition, and it was sold at the exhibition of the real Deto trains in Kawasaki Station on Sunday (we should be there, Super! Big Grin ), and on Keikyu Webshop  KEIKYU GOODS SHOP  for 2800 JPY (no international orders).  As I'm writing this, there are still 334 Deto trains left.

Tommorow, Oct 20, they'll will start selling it in Keikyu Shop in Yokohama Port Osanbashi, an again on Friday, Nov 13, in some (not all!) Seven-Eleven Keikyu St Shops and in Keikyu department store (Toy department, 5th floor). And that's about it!

I have three Keikyu commuter trains and this one would really fit nicely in that fleet.

I know this is a common practice with limited editions, but on the other hand, I really don't understand why Takara Tomy and Keikyu don't want my money! Smile
